Rio Azul

Born, raised and residing in Bronx, NY, Rio Azul is a multi-disciplinary veteran emcee most known for marrying his adept and spry flows with vivid imagery in every verse he recites. As an 11+ year seasoned student and teacher of Hip-Hop, Rio has honed his style and released multiple projects since 2013. Performing in venues such as the legendary S.O.B.s in Manhattan, Gold Sounds in Brooklyn and weeks on end at the seasonal meetup of Legendary Cyphers in Union Square Park, Rio's carved out a name for himself in the annals of New York City's biggest stages and most contemporary underground Hip-Hop movements. Having a few projects/singles under his belt, released an EP with LA Based Jersey Club DJ , collaborated on a few singles with and closely worked alongside producer for their debut joint album titled 'The Lighthouse Lounge', Rio is unafraid of tackling a new sound and adapting to a different way of creating/sound curation. Rio's undeniable adaptability is showcased through the variety in his releases and only looks to continue.
